2009 State Prep B Champs

While soccer may be one of your favorite sports or just one of the things you enjoy doing with your friends, I am writing to tell you more about the MKA Girls’ Soccer program.  As a former Division I athlete (Lafayette College ’94), my coaches taught me to set short and long term goals and never settle for mediocrity.  This in turn has helped me develop our philosophy here…

Our goal for MKA Girls’ Soccer is simple: to create a program that will help players solidify their athletic and personal foundation, which they will build upon for the rest of their lives.

The energy and excitement that currently surrounds MKA Girls’ Soccer is for good reason.  Our athletic department has given us the resources and flexibility to create a first-rate soccer experience for all of our student-athletes.  Van Brunt Field (Astroplay Synthetic Turf), has allowed our players to practice and play on a field that is considered to be one of the finest soccer facilities in the state.  Playing in the newly formed Super Essex Conference (SEC), MKA Soccer is able to have a top-flight schedule against some of the best teams in the region and we will surely be a team to be reckoned with in the years to come.

2010 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The program has been extremely successful in the past and we are looking forward to continuing that trend.  With 12 returning Varsity letter winners (including 8 starters) coming back in 2011, the future of MKA Girls’ Varsity Soccer is very promising.  A vibrant and competitive JV squad insures that all players have a chance to play no matter what level they are or how much soccer experience they have.  The team has a wonderful group of athletes who are committed to working hard, playing hard, and most importantly, having fun!  The squad works hard in the off-season realizes that the hard work one puts in during the off-season can pay off in the fall!
